Our story

Who We Are

We are BYRCHELLO — Zuzi and Marek. Our roots are in Slovakia, in the heart of Europe, where we were born and raised. Life led us to Norway, where we began a new chapter together.

During one long, cold Norwegian winter, we felt the pull to create something meaningful with our hands. We fell in love with leather crafting. We weren’t experts — not even close. We spent hours learning from YouTube videos, getting inspired by other artisans on Instagram, and reading every book we could find about leatherwork. Slowly, we built our little studio. We invested in tools, workbenches, and leather, trying, failing, learning, and improving every day.

In the fall of 2023, our dream took shape. We created BYRCHELLO — our own brand, our labor of love. We now design and handcraft wallets, cardholders, bags, and more. For our creations, we use premium cowhide from renowned Italian tanneries, known for their exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Each item is unique, just like the pieces of leather we use. The leather itself tells a story, and with time, your story becomes part of it.

We pour our hearts into every stitch, every detail. Our wish is simple — that you feel the love and care we put into each piece.
